Conte di Cavour guns

#1

Post by jopaerya » 02 Nov 2014, 12:05

Hello All

The guns of the reequipped battleship Conte di Cavour should be used as coast defense , for instance one
triple main turret was planned at Fedje ( Norway ) and according to this document also the secondary
armament was planned for coast defense . http://www.coatneyhistory.com/CavourONI2.JPG

Who has any other documentation were the other main turrets were planned and maybe were the secon-
dairy armament was planned ( 12 cm twin turrets and 10 cm twin flak ) ??

Regards Jos

This document must be misfiled , information from the AOK 1 .
Could this be the planned twin guns 38.1 cm from the Conte di Cavour ??
or just wish full thinking .

Found the explanation Fedderwarden and Charlottenburg were code names for El Ferrel and La Coruna ( Operation Felix & Gisela )

Hello Jos

Conte di Cavour had 320mm guns not 381mm guns.
