Interesting, thanks, Jos.

Since the number of available 30,5 cm SK L/50 guns were limited in 1939, where would the guns of MKB Hindenburg have come from ?

I understand that 6 of these 30,5 cm guns in BSG were kept after WW1 at Wangerooge (future MKB Friedrich August).

3 of these were then installed in Helgoland (MKB von Schröder).

The 3 guns from MKB Friedrich August were moved on the Westwall (Batterie Ottenhöfen) and then to the Pas-de-Calais, again as MKB Friedrich August.

Hello Emmanuel

you can read the complete story in "Die Marinegeschütze des Westwalls am Oberrhein" - its a really great book, small price and best informations!! (pages 182-184)
http://www.explorate-verlag.de/buecher/ ... f88d01.php

plans from summer 1939 (peace plans): the the 30,5 cm guns were only loaned to about end 1940 then they should be prepared at rügen. this would have been necessary if the reprimand harbor in rough construction was finished at rügen. (1942)
