St bunkers Norway

#1

Post by jopaerya » 24 Mar 2015, 21:07

Hello All

According to a O.T. report from Natter , there should be in 1944 some 454 Ständige bunkers ,
25 ( OBL Kirkenes ) , 60 ( Polarbereich ) , 141 ( Mittelnorwegen ) and 228 ( Südnorwegen ) .

Is there any account of the total of ST bunkers found in Norway today ??

Regards Jos

ARN has a nice overview of 337 St bunkers. Last updated 2012, should maybe be a couple of more. http://atlantikwall-research-norway.de/ ... r----34184

Thanks Arthur

Also the St bunkers build in 1945 are not on this list , so the amount of 454 is a minimum .

Hello again !

A quick search on Google Earth and I found 2 ST bunker along Johan Knudtzens gate (See the attached screenshots) :
- the 1st one, destroyed, probably the one photographied by Soviet troops.
- the second, with a wooden house build on the roof.

Regards,

Sébastien

Hey guys,

the two bunkers along Johan Knudtzens gate are R 631, one intact, one blown up by retreating german troops.

You are right, we didn't update our homepage since 2012, due to problems with the software support. Since 2012 we found some more St, Vf and of course feldm. constructions. ,-)

regards

Good evening folks,

first off all I would like to thank you for posting this original images! ;-)

Please find attached for comparison images from summer of 2007 , whenn we visited this area.

First I will send images of the -as we think R 632 SK - where the 3p7 once was originally placed.

I was talking about a R 632 SK (Sonderkonstruktion / special construction) because it has got for sure an irregular entrance section high above the level of the bunker itself. So we think of a tunnel leading with stairways some meters up the level of the 3p7 (comparable to the situation of the gun bunker of MKB Lökken in DK.

Next i will show you a comparison image of the infantery observation cupola, that was still in place in 2007 on top of its underground system.

As some of you will know, there are existing some original images of another threeloopholeturret under construction in Kirkenes. So the big question is: Where was this one placed and is it still there today!
