Hello

It seems that the WR at Douvres has been blown down in the storm this weekend, any one knows more?

Hi,
During WW II it was not uncommon for German radars to be blown over in gale force winds. In the KM a procedure was established where the radars were turned sideways into the wind whenever strong winds were forecast.

For illustration the following excerpt is not about a Wurzburg but a Freya:
KTB Emden:
1-02-43 Fu.M.G. (Flum) Nord und Südwest infolge orkanartigen Sturmes umgefallen und unklar.

Despite that bad event, museum will open as usual to Public, on may 28th.

Hello

Thanks a lot for the pictures - it seems like it will not be impossible to repair the damages again - so not so bad after all.
