Re: Bunker at Dunkirk
i had called it "obs." on my plan, didnt think about the minenbunker possibility. According to that nice map of dunkirchen there where two minen-controlbunkers in that area, so it is possible that this is the one for erich and the other lies on erfurt.

Re: Bunker at Dunkirk
Hi Dirk,
In my opinion the last pictures had been taken in the "Entrée du Port", near place du Minck. Please have a look to the postcards published just after the war and the building along the quai, in the center of each photos. It was just a small bunker build in the corner of this building to control the access to rue Lhermitte.
Here a google map link to see how it is today : https://www.google.com/maps/@51.0397302 ... 312!8i6656.

Hi Dirk and Alain,
To complete the topic, Bundesarchiv pictures posted by Dirk had been taken here too. It's a ind of antitank wall with a concrete guardinghouse. Please see the extracts from aerial photos dated december 1944 and june 1947 (from "remonter le temps" website).

Dear Friends,
An other document from Archives de Dunkerque : a picture showing the small lock house with the German walls in the background (Archives de Dunkerque, 13Fi2962). You can compare with the google map view (https://www.google.com/maps/@51.0405006 ... 312!8i6656).

Dear Friends,
This is an extract of an aerial photo dated october 1944 from NCAP archives. The different walls and rails obstacles built by Germans are clearly visible.
