The name Nina in this respect was only used by OKM and Baustellenleitung as a indication of the origin of the guns as captured i Bergen harbour in April 1940 onboard the finnish steamer "Nina". The 18 x 13 cm L/55 guns onboard the same vessel were also named Nina-guns. So there were no renaming of the 30,5 cm battery as such. The batterys only formal name was Mirus.

No, the 13 cm L/55 Nina-guns were kept in Norway in 1940, and used to arm one battery on the West Coast (Maaloy-Area) and 5 batteries in the north. The 30,5 cm Nina-guns were transported from Bergen to Germany in the summer of 1940 on the very same steamer "Nina". The guns were eventually put in reserve for the Felix operation, and later released for use at the C.I. Both the 13 cm guns and the 30,5 cm guns were referred to as Nina-guns.

Hello

I mean, why mention Batterie Nina - and no reference to the 13 cm. L/55 "Nina" guns in the document?

Surely the Batterie Nina here in this document has no connection to the Nina guns in Norway - they are not even mentioned in the document?

It must have to do with the renaming of the Batterie Nina to Batterie Mirus then, right?

I think think this also , many documents from 1941/42 are called "Batterie Nina" and also
in the book from Colin Partridge "Mirus" you can read that the batterie was renamed to Mirus .

We are talking past each other. If You go to Freiburg and have a thorough look in the documents (RM 7 + Handakte Raeder) You will see what I mean. The OKM use of the name "Batterie Nina" is a referral to the origin of the guns, and the first formal name of the battery was Mirus. After the guns had been taken into use on Batterie Mirus the "official" name of the guns changed to 30,5 cm K 14 (russ).

Hello dear friends!

I'm looking for KTB of Mirus batterie.
I'm writing a big book about Russian 30,5-cm guns, four of them were mounted at the Nina (Mirus) batterie.
Could anybody help me?
