no one?
I think the example at mkb scheveningen nord started as a old type 501, and the hall was added later..
Because the gutter against flammöl above the door is present.

Hello,

In Brittany there are some R501 with a similar entrance, like a Vf2a but the inner wall of the corridor is only 80cm thick.

Hi Tim,
It could be that the Germans fitted the flüssigkeitsabweiser because they were afraid of mobile flamethrowers and these could be taken in the covered trenches, so even if no water comes from above the flammöl could be sprayed horizontally and a flussigkeitsabweiser had some practical use.

Hello all.
What can you say about this counter-partisan timber emplacement at Drovyanoy Post station (now Dibrova-Olevska) in Zhitomir Oblast? All photos are from eisenbahnstiftung.de.

And also this ones: Befestigter Streckenposten, Befestigtes Stellwerk
Thank you in advance.
With best regards, Ilya.

All those nice Zeiss and Busch optics were scrapped!!!
I have heard stories of people making their own binoculars of the lenses, but most of them were destroyed!

Erik
My grandmother told me that when they returned here (Alderney C.I.) in 1945 that lots of people just threw away or smashed up all the German stuff they could not re use immediately.
Still find bits of stuff around now but it is getting rare, my cousin had a thing that looked like a periscope crossed with binoculars, something to do with range finding I think.

Here are some of my latest pictures of the Blankensee Battery at Neville Sur Mer in Normandy. The coastal erosion continues, destroying the battery in the process.

I think the 3D drawing in the link below belongs here in the ultimate fortification tread: the ultimate 3D drawing, this time of a dutch kazemat with gun and mortars..

Well, from what I know, the Germans focused on overlapping fields of fire, focusing on MG nests or bunkers. Trenches were made instead of bunkers for your average Grenadiers. This generally made a strong hauptkampflinie.

For the Maginot, I believe they had concrete cover for infantry, multiple-leveled bunkers, and trenchlines. I've never seen multiple bunkers covering each other, if you mean that.
