Hello, I'm also very excited about Dora gun and Gustav Schwerer.

What I can observe is that the model in 1/72 and the ones in 1/35 scale have this markings for Dora:

Deutsche Reichsbahn 510 469 P (Privat)

That means that Dora with this serial was stationary in Russia for the attack of Leningrad.

But also means that Gustav the one ravaging Sevastopol was another gun not Dora!

I found a picture with Gustav, and this gun has this serial number:

Deutsche Reichsbahn 510 471 P (Privat)

This confirms that there were two separate guns.

Also when Gustav was at Sevastopol on the big long trains that carry more then 2500 men, munition, fuel and special wagons it also had with him a spare barrel.

Actually were three big monsters, that is the difference between the end of numbers 69, 71.

The third one with the serial Deutsche Reichsbahn 510 470 P (Privat) I think was in construction at Essen factory. It's proven that were actually three guns. And it is said it was planned to attack England's coast, more cheaper then the V-2. rockets.

You can see the actual serial number Deutsche Reichsbahn Essen 510 471P

So I'm lucky because I acquired two 1/72 scale Hobby Boss Dora guns, and on one I will use the Gustav markings, so I'll have both of the guns. UUUUU

The relics of there two guns I believe were discovered like this.

The Schwerer Gustav was discovered in the woods, wrecked.

Dora's remains were discovered in a farther part in a used rail yard.

Now let's see Schwerer Gustav.

Now Gustav after getting out of the Essen factory was deployed to Sevastopol, but the gun itself could not go on two tracks the gun actually was transported like a normal train the two half's of the gun were used separately in transportation mod, the gun base turrets or struts (gun holders) were transported on a flatbed, the gun barrel was also transported in the back by two cars and all other devices and special railway were also stored in special wagons. The gun was carried splitted in longitudinal each frame as a separate car for tunnels to traverse. It also carried flat beds for the huge cranes that assembled the gun.
Heavy Artillery Unit (E) 672 was reorganized to support Schwerer Gustav. There were lots of railway cars from personnel carriers: C4ue, Personenwagen C3itr pr 18, to Kartuschwagen, Kesselwagen (Austauschbauart), R Stuttgart, Ommr Linz, SSyms, G München, Munitionszubringerwagen, SSy Köln, and lots of FLAK. And covers like mesh, curtains, wood branches.
