... used as coastal artillery.

The small wall of well-cut stones (probably from surrounding structures) would have sent flying a lot of stone shrapnell on the gun crew in case of incoming artillery fire ! 8O

Hello Sturm78

The wheels would indicate the GPF-T , also the kind of shocks above the wheels you can see on your picture .
Also the plate the on the trail of the gun are typical for the Canon de 155 mm G.P.F.-Touzard

Thank you, Jopaerya.

The fact that I only saw one of the front axles confused me

Strange to see the wooden platform constructed between the trails of the gun.

Hello David

My 2 cents for the halftrack are the " Mittlerer Zugkraftwagen 8t ( Sd.Kfz. 7 ) " , but you know "Let the cobbler stick to his last"

There is supposed to be a way of looking at the roadwheels to determine the half track, but it's complex & I don't know it.

Now you mention it & I look again, it does look a little big for an SdKfz7, so perhaps you are right.

I think it is a Sd8 by the wheels.

Sd 7 towards the bottom of this page

Hello

I think this gun is a 15.5 cm K.419 (f), based on the wheels . According to the book "Kampf
und Intrige um Griechenland" the photo was taken during a visit of Generalfeldmarschall List .

Definitely a 15,5 cm K419(f) by comparing with other pictures: same wheels, same barrel.
