Happy New Year to everybody...
According to my notes, Krupp designed and produced a 8cm, a 8.8cm, and a 10.5cm Flak. Is there any particular difference or differences between those models? How can we tell that this particular gun is the 10,5cm Flak (ortsfest) m17, Krupp (only six examples were made?) and not the 8.8cm BAK m16, L/45?
Thanks for your attention...

Hello
6 X 10,5cm Flak (ortsfest/Eisenbahn) was in the end of 1917 "eingesetz". This could be a mix of 10.5 cm Rheinmetall and Krupp(two of each was delivered in des 1916. 2 X 10,5 cm Krupp ortsfest, 2 X Rheinmetall 10,5 cm ortsfest, and 2 X 10,5 cm Rheinmetall eisenbahn.)At the end of the war its noted that there was 6 X 10,5cm Flak Eisenbahn, and 38 X 10,5 cm ortsfest in "einsatz"
Added two photos from the same book, one 10,5 cm Krupp ortsfest, and a 8,8 cm L/45.
regards

I dont have such knowledge, but if i use the book "Deutsche flug-Abwehr im 20. Jahrhundert" by Otto W. von Renz as a reference it mention thatAccording to my notes, Krupp designed and produced a 8cm, a 8.8cm, and a 10.5cm Flak. Re: Unknow gun
Here are some more pictures of these guns in WW2.
The first picture (from ebay.de) seems to show a 8,8 cm K-Flak on its trailer. The soldiers look very casual so it could be a captured gun in a Sammelstellung, maybe captured from Belgium (see the third picture below) or a well-preserved piece (see the camouflage paint) from WW1?
The 2nd picture below was taken by US soldiers of the 327th ECB in Germany in 1945. The gun looks of the same type as on the pictures posted by Jos on January 7, 2008 above. Could it be a 10,5 cm Flak (Ortfest 17)?

The 3rd picture (press picture from ebay.com) shows a similar gun but this time in 1939 in Belgian service. However, the muzzle looks enlarged.

Hi Emmanuel
Your last photo explains this photo witch was made during the Battle in the West 1940 ,
this should be a captured Belgian gun but it was a German W.W. 1 trophy .
Photo = Ebay

Jos,
I remember discussing the gun in your latest picture here:
(starting at your post on 16 Dec 2010 at 14:29)

The wheels look very similar to those on the Belgian "75 mm FRC M27" AA gun. So definitely, a Belgian connection here.

Re: Unknow gun
Here is an interesting picture (from ebay.com) of a German collection point of Belgian AA guns. We can see on the left and in the middle the type of gun that looks like the modified 8,8 cm K-Flak (see the muzzle and the wheels). On the right we find some 75 mm CA Mle 17 (French origin but also used by the Belgian Army) and in the background, several 75 mm FRC M27. This picture tends to show again that the Belgian Army probably operated some modified 8,8 cm K-Flak in 1940.

Re: Unknow gun
Sturm78,
Yes, it definitely looks like a 8,8 cm K-Flak from Krupp and possibly captured from the Belgian Army in May 1940. We have opened a discussion on the possible use of these guns by the Belgian Army in 1939-1940 as they may have been relined to a 75 mm caliber. See here:
