#1

Post by jopaerya » 02 Jan 2006, 19:53

Hi All

Who can help me , there are some light Luftwaffe flakbatteries
at the Dique Charles Laroche at Le Havre but I can't find any
Stp. and W.n. numbers such as HaH 010 / 040 = M.K.B. Petrolhafen .
I am looking for Stp. and W.n number at the Dique Charles Laroche.

Hi Jos !

Did you look in the "Kampfenweisung fur die Festung Le Havre" (BAMA RH19/IV 117) ?

Hi Moonraker !

What do you mean? There is still remains of these flak batterie in the middle of petrol tank and Gaz de France tanks?

The bunker on the first picture is a 600 : it is for a 5 cm Kwk ; The bunker and the remain off the gun (housed in a local historical society) are protected as historical building ; I know also the others bunkers, but I never visited them (closed in Harfleur or in industrial restricted area).

All the flak batteries build in the digue Charles Laroche had been destroyed after the war ; I look on an actual air photos of IGN and the is no remain of these batteries. It is also a restricted industrial area (petroleum and gaz).

Sébastien

By GSGS chart, you mean the "Defenses Overprint Map edition of 5 september 1944" ? The overprint informations in such maps are from Air photos or sometimes from Resistance...so, it could be false information ; and from the air, a regelbau 600 with a 5cm kwk on the roof could easyly be interpreted as bunker for Flak by the Allied photointerpreters...so !

Good morning Jos,

did you find an answere about the "numberless" le. Flak Battr... around the harbor?
I also puzzle about this topic right now (6 years after you :)
Also for the Battr´s. at Mole Central I found no perfect nr.?!
Some had the HaH nr... but not a WN nr.
it looks as if the flak had their own designations.

sorry to dig this topic out again 8-)

greetz
Alex
