Hi

I was recently lucky to have been bought the below bullet by a relative when they visited Saint Mere Eglise. I am presuming it is genuine and would really like to know what weapon it may have been used for/with.

I must apologise for the quality of the pictures but they have been taken using the VGA setting on my camara because it is easier to upload. The writing on the end of the bullet/shell casing says in clockwise direction: 10b, p with the number 345 below it, what looks to be a eagle type symbol with WaA 73 below it, and finally 38. I really would really appreciate any assistance that anyone can give me on this.

I have tried (rather badly) to show measurements where possible!!

Many thanks in advance for help. :D

Looks like 20 x 138B long Solothurn, used in German 20 mm tank guns and AA guns.

Thanks for that Kocur. Does anyone know if there where any Wehrmacht/SS units in the Saint Mere Eglise area that would be equipped with AA guns or 20mm tank guns? Thanks in advance for any information that anyone has.
