I've just found ( http://forum.valka.cz/viewtopic.php/t/3 ... 2-MK-SS-42) some info on an assault rifle built at the Zbrojovka Brno during 1940s for - as I understand the Slovak language - the Waffen SS. Its manufacturer's designation was the ZK-412 and that of the user was the MK SS 42 ("MK" stood presumably for the "machinen karbiner" or something similar). Here is a photo of the rifle in question:
Besides the ZK-412 some other rifles were developed there, at least a submachine gun designated as ZK-403 (MP SS 42) and a light machine-gun ZK-423. The ZK-423 was chambered for an indigenous 8x35 mm Rapid cartridge.
As for the latter, this is perhaps its photo:
Unfortunately, the website where the picture is being displayed (http://www.netlabor.hu/roncskutatas/mod ... ?lid=12103) is in Hungarian, so I cannot understand what it says on the gun.
Can anybody in the forum help with more info on these unknown weapons from the German occupied Czechoslovakia? I think the subject is more than interesting.
Best regards,
Piotr

At http://www.vhu.cz/exhibit/maly-kulomet-zk-423/ you may find an article on the ZK-423 "small machine gun" chambered for the Czech (under occupation) indigenous 8x35 mm Rapid cartridge.
