Hi.
Is this the MG08? The original text mention that they were rebels during the uprising in 1918.
Thanks

Audrew if you look up the MG08 thread.
These sleds show MG08's, not to be confused with the MG08/15. The FreiKorps were of cse armed with standard WWI weapons so all the photos of the uprising show the standard Imperial weapons, and NOT inter war modifications. Bearing in mind the FreiKorps were all all ex-servicemen then they were a pretty useful bunch!

My apologies on closer inspection that does appear to be a MG08/15 sitting on a sled. There are pieces of eqpt to have a MG08 with bipod but any fitting to have a 08/15 on a sled must be as you say a 'local' manufacture. Great observation!

Thanks Silviu-Angel for the information. After your kind answer I seen in the web forgottenweapons photos of a Madsen for use in tanks, like this. The bipod is of a german mg, probably a MG 34. The set of photos I seen in ebay.de there was various LMGs germans and foreign: MG 34, ZB 26, MG 13, another not identificated and this.

Looks very much like a Vickers machine gun (mainly: Maxim-like operating handle and low receiver, corrugated radiator).
