Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer in Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS use
Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer in Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS use
Hello,
I am currently trying to find out if the Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer was used regularily by the Wehrmacht or Waffen-SS? I read that most of those weapons were sold to the Chinese Armed Forces because they did not Count as SMGs so they could easily be imported.
But Surfing through the Internet I found some photos which Show German Forces using this weapon:
Waffen SS:
This photo shows probably a Wehrmacht soldier in Stalingrad 1942 with a holstered M712?
This is probably a Wehrmacht soldier?
(Source of those photos is some random Internet sites)
I would be greatful if you guys could share your knowledge and photos about the Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer in German Armed Forces use during WW2!
Thanks for your time!

The third photo attributed to Stalingrad. That holster looks like a flare pistol holster.
The fourth is not Wehrmacht but probably chinese

So... anybody got some more info or photos?
The Designation M712, was this a Wehrmacht Designation (as used in the Manuals?)?

Btw Wikipedia mentions that 8000 pieces were issued to the Luftwaffe during WW2, any photos or info about this?
