Is that a Sten... why is the mag port verticle to the rest of the gun? Could it be an MP-3008??


At two other forums, the gun is identified as a MP-3008. I don't read German, but here's the photo with a caption, which might add info:

It's a Sten, the magazine port on the sten can be rotated down for storage or to prevent dirt from getting into the action. Although you can't shoot it like that. If you look at the picture you can see the locking ring on the front of the magazine well. On the MP.3008 this is a sling attachment, take a close look at both pictures you'll see the locking spring on the Sten and none on the MP.3008.
