Vincentius de Paula von Brixen, born 11 September 1850 in Münsterberg in Silesia, died 28 April 1917. He graduated from Groß-Lichterfelde as a Second-Lieutenant on 7.4.70 and was assigned to Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 27. He was awarded the EK2 for the campaign against France. From 1 November 1872 to 31 March 1875 he was the Adjutant of I./I.R. 72 and from 1 April 1875 to 14 April 1877 the Regimental Adjutant. He was promoted to Premier-Lieutenant on transfer to Grenadier-Regiment Nr. 12 with a simultaneous appointment as the Adjutant of the 33. Infanterie-Brigade on 14.4.77. He attended the War Academy from 1 October 1877 to 1 July 1880 and was attached to the Great General Staff from 8 May 1881 to 1 May 1882. Promoted to supernumerary Hauptmann on 14.10.1884 he was appointed as a Company Commander on 14 March 1885. Promoted charakter Major on 17.6.93 he received a Patent as a Major on 15.7.93 followed by his appointment as Commander of I./G.R. 12 on 21 April 1894.
On 18 July 1896 he became Commander of Jäger-Bataillon Nr. 3 until 17 February 1900 when he was promoted to Oberstleutnant and assigned as the Lieutenant Colonel on the Staff of Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 71. Promoted to Oberst on on 22.4.02 he was appointed as the Commander of Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 68 until promotion to Generalmajor and command of the 78. Infanterie-Brigade on 10 April 1906. His final appointment was as Commander of the 36. Division which he assumed on promotion to Generalleutnant on 19 June 1909. He retired on 4 February 1911.

Can you tell me if this guy is related to "Johann Joseph Franz Maximilian von Brixen" and also what was Johann's role in the army? Where did you find that picture?
Any other information regarding any other von Brixen is appreciated.
