Sekondeleutnant to Leutnant

When was the army rank of Sekondeleutnant changed to Leutnant.I have one date of 1st Jaunary 1899 for Hermann Cummerow did this date apply to all

Phil,

that is correct. The AKO of 1 January 1899 changed various titles of rank into a more pure "German" form:

Portepee-Fähnrich - Fähnrich.
Sekonde-Lieutenant - Leutnant
Premier-Lieutenant- Oberleutnant
Oberst -Lieutenant - Oberstleutnant
General-Lieutenant - Generalleutant
