Uhlan before 1894?

Postby beauregard61 on 16 Jun 2012 17:16

On a german fleamarket I've found this photo.

May be it is a prussian uhlan before 1894 (one cockade)?

Perhaps somebody can give me more clues about the unit/time of the soldier...

I think he is a Bavarian Ulan prior to 1897. He has no cypher or number in the epaulette field and the cockade appears to be Bavarian.

Thanks, yes the cockade may be too bright for the prussian colours.
