Not listed in the casualty list database yet, but there is a Heinrich Freitag from "Groß Sims" who was seriously wounded early in the war with Reserve-Jäger-Bataillon Nr. 14 (right column, about 1/4 way down)

Aside from the regimental history there probably isn't all that much out there. The district may have published a memorial book which could contain biographical information, possibly even a photo. Your best bet would probably be contacting the district council to see if they can direct you to a historian / researcher

or perhaps the Volkskundemuseum

Cross-posting what I provided at GMIC:

He was with the 3. Eskadron of Reserve-Husaren-Regiment Nr. 6 when he was wounded, and died of his wounds in Reserve-Feldlazarett A, IX. Reservekorps. He is listed in Preußische Verlustliste Nr. 408, 18. Dez. 1915.

Groß Siemz was in Mecklenburg-Strelitz, but he does not appear to have received the Cross for Distinction in War before his death.

Groß Siemz is also not very groß - its population in 1910 was 69 and a century later its population in 2010 was 300.
