Hello,

He is

kgl. preuß. Major Friedrich Ottomar Felix Robert Adolf von Pommer Esche (not hyphenated)
* 04.07.1869 in Gotha
† 13.09.1916 in Corbehem bei Douai/Nordfrankreich (verunglückt)

http://stiftung-historische-friedhoefe. ... -todestag/

Not many information about his carreer, however. The above could be a start.

Uwe,

Very interesting additions. May I ask what your source is for these dates, particularly for his time as Ia in VI. AK, AOK 4 and Kom. d. 6. GIR?

Thanks very much.

hello Andy,

one source is the regimental history: Heinrich von Both, 6. Garde-infanterie-Regiment, Zeulenroda 1931.
For the other dates i have to look through the copies i have made in the Kriegsarchiv München
or Hauptstaatsarchiv Stuttgart. Maybe it was a different source.

best wishes
