Hi

I do think that Walter Voigt from FAR 55 is my "wanted man".
Lt dR 19.12.1903
Oblt dL aD x

He might have his roots in Weimar area.

I am searching possible date and place of birth, and also promotion date to Oblt dL aD and higher.

Hi again

I am still hunting info on Oblt dL Walter Voigt. I have been unable to find his promotion to Oblt, anyone who can help ?

Otherwise he started his career within FAR 55 Bezirk Weimar and later moved to Bezirk IV Berlin and VI Berlin respectively. Later transferred ca 1913 to LwB VI Berlin and already on 17.02.1914 left the Army.

He apparently received the LD2 ca 1908 which means that might have been born around 1878 ?

Hi Gunnar,

he was promoted to Oberleutnant d.L. a.D. on 27 January 1915.

Thanks Glenn !

Slowly (for me) the career of Walter Voigt becomes clearer. After an rather successful service within the Marine he returned to Army early 1917 and rejoined LWB VI Berlin. Then I lost the track of him.
