Hi
I am searching possible date and place of birth for Hptm Emil? Lewin from IR 149. He started as Reserve officer and later served at LwB Schlawe.
He seems to have an strong connection to Stettin and Neustettin, which might be his birth area ?. He received the LD2 around 1911 which might indicate that he was born around 1880.
I am not certain he is my wanted man but I still need more info for possible confirmation or delete him. Info on his WW1 service is also welcome

Re: Hptm dL Lewin IR 149
Emil Lewin is in the 1918 Prussian Court and State Handbook as an Amtsrichter in Pollnow, Kreis Schlawe. He is shown with the EK2 and LD2. He was promoted to Hptm.d.L. on 24.12.1914, at the time serving with the mob. Etappen-Kommandantur 2 of the XVII.AK. The 1931 Mitgliederliste for the Offiziervereinigung of IR 149 lists him as a Maj.d.L.a.D. and Amtsgerichtsrat in Neustettin. He is still there in the 1933 Neustettin address book.

Thanks very much Dave !
The confirmed information of Emil to IR 149 is very good and the other information is helpful to solve his date and place of birth.
"Only" now to find possible WW1 units.
