All,

Does anyone have any career details of this man prior to WWI? I am also interested in what awards he received both prior and during WWI. So far I have been able to find te following and would appreciate any additions:

Order of the Black Eagle
Order of the Red Eagle Grand Cross
Order of the Crown ?? class
Pour le Merite with OL
Iron Cross Grand Cross and 1st (1914) and 2nd class (1870)
Hohenzollern House Order ?? class
Bavaria
Military Order of Max Joseph Grand Cross
Order of Military Merit Grand Cross

Saxony
Military Order of St. Heinrich Kommanderkreuz 1st kl.

Austria-Hungary
Military Maria Theresa Order Grand Cross
Order of Leopold Grand cross with war decoration
Military Merit Cross 1st class
Order of St. Stephen Grand Cross

Ottoman Empire
Osmanieh Order Grand Cross

Sorry, not "all". I forgot the Maria Theresa Grand Cross (26 March 1918).

Mosy likely the "interim" or undress order of the regimentals. One supposes he had them tailor-made 20-30 years after the war. How many other old officers did the same, I wonder.
