Ostasiatisches S98

Enclosed are pictures of one of the hardest unit marks to find 6.O.R.5.62 ( Chinese Colonial / East Asia) on a early dated 1900 Erfurt S98 bayonet. The wood wrap around grip was only used for a few years before going to a split grip design which was stronger. Any unit history on the 6.O. is appreciated. BTY this is only the 3rd Ostasiatisches marked weapon I have come across so far.
