Hi Chris,

Sorry I forget to mention the source. The book deal with all German Colonies. For me very interesting
are the many personal records of individuals of all branches, and of course a few rare photos.

Thanks for ther links, those are great magazines. Some great photos but I also like the advertisements at the back to everything from tropical clothing, guns and ammunition to baldness cures! Somethings never change..

Schilderungen des Kamerunkämpfers K.E. Schulz, Völkischer Verlag Düsseldorf GmbH, 1942


As far as I find out, it was Polizeimeister / Feldwebel (Sergeant Major) Karl Emil Schulz who wrote this original war diary.
It´s not really clear if Schulz belonged the 7. or 8. Company of the Cameroun Schutztruppe which fought around Garua,
but he was be able to muddle through the South and cross the border to Spanish Region of Equatorial Guinea, Río Muni.
