Discussion between von Kluge and von Manstein, Aug. 1943

Hello,

apparently von Kluge and von Manstein agreed with each other in August 43 about "Änderung militärischer Spitzenposition an der Ostfront". What should be understood under this "change at the highest positions on the eastern front"?. What exactly does that mean? It does not meant a conspiracy againt Hitler in the traditional meaning, but then what?

Sorry, but I can't give any source - as far as I remember there was a wish within the Wehrmacht to tighten grip of the situation in Russia by appointing an OB Russland (OB Ostfront?) which was agreed upon to be von Manstein - guess the idea fell because of opposition from AH …
