Can't help thinking that the Russian Orthodox Church must have a very different position on the "miracle requirement" for beatification/sainthood to the Catholic Church...

Yes... it was "all right" - the camera plane didn't know where to put its own shadow in the last tens mins, and there was a tad too much BBC/"luvvie" left-of-centre handwringing about Dresden and Hamburg; there were a couple of "well, war is war..." comments, but not enough to outweight the point they tried to labour! (And Colin MacGregor is a boring bugger!) I was actually on PA474 years ago at a private airshow at RAF Aldergrove during the D-Day 50th anniversary celebrations that the family sneaked into when we really shouldn't have! :D - the one thing the programme didn't get across was how suprisingly SMALL a Lancaster is! 8O All those years ago it was parked up beside a Nimrod - which dwarfed it 8O But parked up filling the hangar like that, you got a false impression tonight.

I agree ya, was expecting a bit more from it phylo. Colin a bit boring ok. I thought the BBC docu on the spitfire a few months back way better, lucky you getting to see the.real thing close up. Hard to believe only one in over 7000 made still operational.
Cheers mark.

Two, they mentioned the Canadian one  And they also forgot the Panton Brothers' "hobby"...Lancaster B VII NX611 "Just Jane"! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincolnshire_Aviation_Heritage_Centre and http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk/lancaster-taxy-rides/taxy-ride-experience-1.htm

They announced in 2010 that they were now working fully towards a return-to-flightworthy restoration.

Good Morning,
I thought the topic was White Rose founder, instead of the boring BBC.
