Danish resistance

Carlo Jens Randrup-Thomsen, my grandfather's cousin, was part of the resistance in Randers. He was shot at and killed while smuggling weapons. A memorial cross (mindekors) was raised where he fell. The inscription reads: "For at vore børn kan vokse op og være danske" (So that our children may grow up and be Danes). Carlo was buried in Nordre kirkegård in Randers in the memorial grove.
