Hello Lupo,

On 24 june 1940 french italian armistive signed at olgiata (near Rome) : Italian occupied the following part of french territory : part of Alpes-Maritime, Basses-Alpes, Hautes-Alpes, Savoie. Menton is annexed "de facto" to Italia.
After german invasion on novmeber 1942 : italians troops invaded a larger territory from Var to Savoie, un part of Vaucluse and Drome. The OVRA (italian gestapo) fight against french resistance in these areas. Résistants were arrested and sent in jail in Italy.
On 3 september 1943, german invided italian zone and came unde SIPO SD.
