Jaroslav & Frančišek Novak (Czech Resistance)

I found an interrogation report of one Jaroslav Novak (born 14.4.1923, Dobren, Czech national, living in Vienna, machinist) from September 1944.

He was asked by his friend active Czech Generalstaff Captain Frančišek Novak (also in Vienna), to come to Slovenia and deliver a copy of a German novel to English Major Maerwine (spelling?), stationed with Slovene partisans. He was also to told Major an oral report regarding Allied bombing of Vienna; plus a request to not bomb XX. distrikt where Cpt. Novak was staying.

Cpt. Novak also told him very specific route (by train to Celje/Cilli, with taxi to Št. Ilj, where he was to located a farmer).

Any info on these 2 Czechs?

Regards,
Klemen

"Frančišek" should be spelled "František" in Czech.
