Yes it was brutal the fight in East Front. I have read even more extreme about peeing outside: shouldn't because it will froze.

Btw a Regiment have more than 600 soldiers so must have been a battalion.

One more thing that I forgot to mention that my grandfather told me about the battle near the Don River: he said they were fighting “Mongols.” I was surprised to hear that. I guess I just assumed they were fighting Russians, but that wasn’t the case.
