Looking at the CC.NN Divisions and you find attached units like 81mm Mortar, anti-aircraft and 65mm Infantry Gun companies/batteries, are these units army or CC.NN?

ah, ok are the divisions shield. But they are abolished in 1940. The 6th alpi graie never exist also 133 littorio division.
A lot of italian division nevere had a shield. also formed in 1939.
This is an example of divisional badges. all unofficial.
Divisione Bologna cross (africa settentrionale), divisione Pusteria, Tridentina e Cuneense. 101a divisione Trieste.
Then an example of shield about an infanterie italian division. are the same as alpin but dark blue.

it depends. the ccnn divisions have different composition in 1935-1937 (africa orientale) and 1938-1941 (North africa). Always are mixed ccnn/infantry units. how is the period you like?

Hi Passo, they look great, thanks.

Well I suppose the main period would be 1940-43, but I also see the need to cover the war in Ethiopia around 1935ish.

I cant believe that both the 6th alpi graie and 133 littorio never existed, as there are references to them all over the net, they even have detailed descriptions of what units they contained.

No, both the divisions are constituited and fought but the shields of 6th alpi graie and 133 Littorio never existed. Both are contituited after the shield abolition.
I see your website. compliments. I think for italian units in 1940-1943 is better to use collar tabs. Are all different.
For the italian divisions in 1935-1936 you can use shields.
If you need I can send you the collar tabs images. write me your email in mp.
