I don't have anything about HE, AP could penetrate 47mm at 100m 38mm at 500m (another place says 34mm at 910m). 640m/s. 84 rounds

with it being an old gun (also used on the fiat 3000 tank) did it have a HE shell ?.
Dili, I have had a go at putting various guns in what units they might have been issude to,

75/13 M.15 & 100/17 M.16 MOUNTAIN = ALPINE

75/18 M.34, 75/27 M.06 & M.11 75/28 M.05 & 100/17 M.14 FIELD = INFANTRY DIVISIONS

105/28 & ALL 149mm Weapons = ARMY ARTILLERY

cant find anywhere for the 65/17 M.13 (only porteed) or 105/14 M.18 Howitzer

Thanks Yan.

I think do you mean 77/28 instead 75/28 no? They were only in Lybian Divisions.

75/18 were in Julia Alpine Division too but generally okay. The 100mm Howitzers were all the same, they had different wheels but other than that it was the same howitzer.

There were 4x65mm guns(not portee) per infantry Regiment so 8 per Division . Look at this:
http://niehorster.orbat.com/019_italy/4 ... nf_40.html
http://niehorster.orbat.com/019_italy/__italy.htm

There were only 28 Portee Morris w/65mm gun and they were put in special composite groups.

105 were only at Corps level(later went also to Motorised and Armored Divisions). 149 were at Corps and Army level and Coastal Divisions.

105/14 was in Coastal Divisions and GAF.

Was the 65/17 infantry support gun ever towed by a vehicle or was it always porteed?
