Yes, you are correct. I thought about it last night and came to the same conclusion. I also now think the card was published as a simple Axis solidarity card in 1942, shortly after Crown Prince Umberto was promoted to Marshal of Italy. Thus, the "XX" on the rear side and his portrait inclusion then makes sense. I no longer believe it was published to celebrate the 1939 Pact of Steel. Would you agree?
