The symbol of Langemarck includes a swastika and I don't add any avatars with swastikas or SS-runes.

In regard to the award images, we'll see what kind of awards will be included later :-)

The guidelines have been slightly modified (primarily to clarify that neonazi nonsense not is tolerated here) as you can see below (the changes are in bold).

These are the basic guidelines of this forum:
* No insults are tolerated (that includes serious national insults)
* No revisionism (ie. denying the Holocaust) or racism is tolerated
* No glorifying of nazism/fascism or those dictatorships is tolerated
* Keep the message on topic
* When quoting from a book or site, please provide info on the source (and a link if it is a website)

doesnt using a handle go hand & hand with using an avatar? its almost like saying for a picture you would need to use your real face. (which I wouldnt be against, but you would have to upload an individual avatar for each & every person)

That particular line is more a request than a rule as we don't enforce it.

The signatures are disabled and where I've seen it disabled, it has been used for anything but the name.

I'd hate to be a pain in the backside, but some of your points don't really make sense.

For example, you say "No glorifying of nazism/fascism or those dictatorships is tolerated". What you should write is "Glorifying nazism/fascism and related dictatorships is NOT tolerated".

No, but prehaps I should rephrase it though I can't see how anyone can missunderstand it (the other rules are the same way).

The avatars are free of course, the $25/month is for the banner you see on the bottom of every page.

I highly welcome the new set of guidelines.

As to "dictatorships", I would simply understand that glorifying them is
not tolerated, regardless of color. And if I'm correct, that would be
perfect.
In other words what's the difference between, say
a far-left dictatorship such as Maoism and a far-right one like
Pinochet's militaristic junta ? I know but too well that there are
differences, but what I wanted to say is let's put them all off-limits
and that's it.
