Very clear and to the point, thanks!!!

I'm trying to figure something out - the rules say no non-commercial links on your sig line. I was going to use my husband's website link, as he has some very funny cartoons he has drawn on various WWII riffs. Is this commercial enough to be allowed?

The rules says that no "non-related commercial" links are allowed, you are of course welcome to link to a non-commercial site dealing with some aspect of WW2.

I apologize, but I cannot figure out how to start a new topic - only how to reply to existing topics.

Thank you very much.

I appreciate your clarity and decisiveness. There are instances in which people may justifiably offended. Resolving such issues requires experience, defined rules and firm decisions.
Thank you for this opportunity to both ask questions and provide some information.

Hello:

I'm just wondering if it's acceptable to post information my latest book, which deals with an attack undertaken on Dec. 7, 1941, by a Japanese submarine.

Thx for the guidelines. Very useful.

And a question - I'm writing an alternative history of the Winter War / Continuation War but I have a lot of unanswered questions that I would benefit with some help in answering from those with a real indepth knowledge of the actual history (as well as feedback on the likeliehood/realism of some of the alternatives I come up with). Given that my area of interest is purely Winter War/Continuation War, is it permissible for me to open a thread for this purpose under the aegis of the Winter War / Continuation War group of threads.

CanKiwi2

Yes, of course you can post questions about the Winter War and Continuation War in that section.
