Poll-If Germany HADN'T attacked Russia, would they have won?
If Hitler had nixed Barbarossa in favour of focusing ALL of the Reich's resources on bringing England to her knees, would Germany have won the war? A simple yes or no will suffice, but feel free to add a few sentences if you wish. Just wanted to see where everyone on the board stood on this question.

No. This kind of thinking is based on either air power will win - that Germany just needed command of the air or that a med strategy will win. I don't think either of these 2 strategies would work.

The problem is that Hitler knew that Stalin would invade Germany if the opportunity ever came about. Germany was also dependent on imports from the Soviets and didn't like that dependence, Finally Hitler's philosophy was based on acquiring the lands of the east.

The problem was that Germany was not prepared for a war with England, late 1940 the air and naval resources were just inadequate for the job, the development of a much larger airforce or naval forces would take a lot of time. Britain had a similar sized aero industry, and a much bigger naval industry. It's hatred to see tha balance of forces changing enough for Germany to be able to effectively challenge enough in either sphere separately or combined to be decisive.

Define "won the war"
Re: Poll-If Germany HADN'T attacked Russia, would they have
Well for Hitler not to attack Russia would mean "Mein Kampf" was just turgid rubbish. Hitler clearly stated that Germany's future was in the East, well before Stalin ever came on the scene.
The mistake in attacking England, Hitler forgot England was an Island and very vulnerable to blockade, especially in 1940. His attack on Britain played exactly into the defense system built up by RAF Fighter Command. One rule of warfare is never play to the enemy's strengths, thank goodness Hitler did exactly that, else the world would be a horrendous place.

We don't want polls or yes/no threads here so this is locked. Please check in the What if section where this is and many other similar scenarios have been discussed.
