Mistranslation of Ordonnanz

#1

Hi,

Just out of curiosity, why do people still continue to mistranslate the German word 'Ordonnanz'? :o

Most of the posts I have seen here and on other sites translate this word as 'Ordnance' when that is wrong. It should be 'Orderly'. :D
:milwink: Example: Ordonnanzoffizier should be Orderly Officer, not Ordnance Officer.

As much as I love Mark Yerger's books they have this mistranslation as well.
