@Jan-Hendrik: did you arleady read "ausmeinerzeit" from Werner Brähler? Especially the parts of his time at the Unteroffizierschule and Frontbewährung are very interesting.

I have been wondering, what rank is a commander of an officer school, is it Oberst, Oberstleutnent, Hauptmann etc.
Doing some research on Kriegsschulen by the way

Hi,
during my father's officer training at Kriegsschule Hannover, Oberst Lindemann served there as commander.
