Hello everyone! I had to post these two pictures from my personal collection. I find the bride in picture 1 exceptionally beautiful!

Clues to ID?
Is the man at the left Paul von Lettow-Vorbeck?
The bridgegroom is wearing the German Labor Front Uniform
the man at the right is wearing medals from World War I

Not, but he wears the same colonial uniform.

There is another version of this photo at http://www.ak-ansichtskarten.de with writing on the back. I cannot
translate it.

Cheers,

How beautiful these photographs are, no matter from which ever group they belong to - they are happy as a couple and the war done by their leaders changed their lives forever.

Did anyone try to colour any of these photographs? If you would like to colour do let me know, I could help you as
I colour black and white photographs.

Actually I like the old black and whites.
Adds drama with light and dark to the subject.
Plus I always like to see the originals untouched.

Nice gesture which some perhaps would like.

Hi,

I colour B & W photographs. There is an excellent thread here: http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 3&t=159097
I believe there may be one or two colourisations I have done from my wedding portrait collection there.

I would like to see some of your work.

Cheers,
Larry

Hi Larry,

Your colorised photographs are really beautiful. I love the detail on the skin shades and the backgrounds which is most technical while colouring. I would definitely post my coloured photographs on the given thread.

Best Wishes!
