Re: 1945 Lost German girl
Hello
I'm new on this very interesting forum and I read the 129 pages.
My question is: all researches on LGG are made on a poor quality video film, like YouTube. Why not ask the Spielberg archives to provide you with high resolution photos of the film ( very good original pics) . I think that given the Seriousness of the forum, there should not be any major problems. Researches of for example what exactly is hold in the hand by the LGG could be much more easier...
What do you think about?

Maybe the time has come to close this beautiful forum.
No new elements seem to come forth. Next week it will be 71 years ago. Too long ago really...
Time to let go and wave goodbye
We all hope she survived the war and had a happy life thereafter

Yes, it's really difficult to bring more facts that will allow us to know the identity of our LGG.
It has been a long strange trip.

Re: 1945 Lost German girl
I have the DVD set of World at War. I've played them so many times I'm surprised they still work.
Re: 1945 Lost German girl
And closing it will achieve what?
Re: 1945 Lost German girl
I'm interested in Contemporary History and by chance found this website and a blog about the Lost German Girl.
World War II was a terrible event in all aspects and full of personal stories absolutely tragic. In many of these stories
have been involved our families.
The quality of many pictures and films of that time doesn’t help, but I noticed the part of the movie in which she
appears sitting next to other people talking. Would it be possible to enhance that clip and understand through lip
reading words to provide clues?
It's up to us to avoid more wars. So I think the story of the Lost German Girl could be subject to a good book or movie.

Re: 1945 Lost German girl
Im new here. I have read all 139 pages of this topic in the last few days. I When I started to read those 2 (perhaps fake) posters I got goosebumps thinking finally her case will be solved, but unfortunately for all of decent people that was not the case.
You guys did a fantastic job researching and trying to figure out what happened to this girl and her whereabouts.
I have seen this girl in World At War documentary several years ago but not until Youtube clip with that beautiful Max Richter music did struck me and from then on I cannot stop thinking about this poor lass.
Cant believe that several decades after the first clip (World at War) has been revealed to the world that no one recognized her. How can that be? Is it possible that everyone that she knew died and were not able to see this clip?
She became symbol of all suffering women of WW2. She became an icon. And thats why it is important that we must learn who was she and what happened to her.
If she survived, she would be probably in her 90-ies now or perhaps dead by now.
I do not think you people should close this topic. Let it live. At least for the memory of this poor lass.

Re: 1945 Lost German girl
Been looking on this forum for info on the battle of Normandy 1944.
Also new here ... this thread is fascinating reading.
Having seen the clip from the film again it triggered a memory of this from the episode of World at War in the 70's when I was in my mid-40's.
Pity we didn't have the Internet back then ...
Anyway, I've found this http://aerialphenomena.blogspot.co.uk/2 ... woman.html
it's probably fiction (?) but kind of interesting.

Re: 1945 Lost German girl
Haglund by the time of WWII was already involved in the film industry.
In 1938 he was 2nd assistant directory of this movie

Perhaps Haglund on his assignment was gathering ideas for later?

Re: 1945 Lost German girl
Very poor taste Beaviso and off topic and against forum rules. And will be fixed.
Re: 1945 Lost German girl
@Beaviso
You show a very poor understanding for the purpose of this thread. Maybe both Kaziemiera and LGG are icons but this is not the point. Regarding Kaziemiera we know the name and all the relevant information. Her fate is known which is not the case of LGG. About LGG people are trying to find out who she was, what was her fate, if she make it, if she is still alive, so basically what was her story after all..
Why people are so courious about her? only because she is beautifull? well, probably it is a little more.. Maybe her suffering caught by hauglund on camera it looks so real.. Maybe people want to find out also stories about the less covered fate of the german victims, I don't know..
I can understand that you are not interested about LGG but why did you post on this thread? Here people are interested about LGG and your post regarding Kaziemiera is just off topic.
