wives and girlfriends of Third Reich officials
Re: wives and girlfriends of Third Reich officials
Apart from Martin Bormann Jr, whose story is well-known, what has become of the other Bormann children?
Re: wives and girlfriends of Third Reich officials
I do know his youngest son Joseph Volker died when he was three. According to Martin Jr., he just stopped eating and wasted away.

I've always wondered how such cute kids could have been fathered by such an ugly sonofabitch.
It's so sad to look at those darling little faces knowing what fate awaited them.

His looks weren't his most heinous feature....it was his warped ideology and twisted rhetorical dogma that spelled ruin of those beautiful children.
So sad.

Well German women tend to be beautiful.ladycplum wrote:Might be an odd thing to say, but I never realized Gerda Bormann was so pretty. Martin Bormann was such a toady, stooped, oily looking person. I guess if the idealogy is strong enough between two people, but she was a beautiful woman.

I have to admit I'm at a loss as to the appeal of Magda Goebbels. I think she's rather shrewish looking. Corinna Harfouch looked better than the real thing in Downfall!

Same here. Beauty being subjective, I thought Inga Ley to be prettier.ladycplum wrote:I have to admit I'm at a loss as to the appeal of Magda Goebbels. I think she's rather shrewish looking. Corinna Harfouch looked better than the real thing in Downfall!

Re: wives and girlfriends of Third Reich officials
Source : http://snyderstreasures.com/images/auto ... JodlOA.jpgThis is a Frau Luise Jodl signed and dedicated color photo...
This photograph was signed and dedicated to Major Charles Snyder in blue quill pen with a full name signature. She signed this for me on one of our many visits together in the early 1970s. We also have some of her original signed and initialed original oil paintings in the collectible art section of the website...
On April 7, 1945 former secretary and mistress Luise Katharina von Benda married OKW Alfred Jodl, a year after his first wife died. She was instrumental in his defense, however, she was unable to get the requisite documents to prove he was not guilty of crimes against humanity. OKW Alfred Jodl was convicted and executed as a result of the sentence passed at the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials. He was later (1953) found to be Not Guilty of the crimes he was accused of and executed for, and what remained of his possessions were returned to Luise Jodl. Note his photographs on her mantle...

Possibly she was "unable to get the requisite documents to prove he was not guilty of crimes against humanity" because he was in fact guilty. She was instrumental in his defense, however, she was unable to get the requisite documents to prove he was not guilty of crimes against humanity. "He was later (1953) found to be Not Guilty of the crimes he was accused of and executed for." The verdicts of the IMT trials have never been reversed - only another hearing of the IMT could do that. The German courts have never recognised the IMT or its verdicts, so strictly speaking none of the IMT defendants are guilty of anything under German law, but it is false to suggest that a German court has overturned the IMT verdict against Jodl.

Hello AlifRafikKhan,
When quoting information verbatim from a website or other source, you should put the quoted section in a quote box or indicate in some other way that it's a quote, a) to avoid a charge of plagiarism, and b) to keep people from thinking you're Charlie Snyder (in this case). I've put the quoted section in a quote box for you in the above post.
