Hello,

found the complete photo album (130 pics) of a female OT auxiliary online here http://krigsbilder.net/coppermine/displ ... =223&pos=0 . She was stationed in Norway and many pics just show Norwegian landscape or houses which was obviously much more interesting to her than uniforms and such but there are some decent shots of what appears to be the work smock of OT signals auxilaries. A rather sober design similar to that of early Flugmeldehelferinnen (plane spotters) so again we know a little more.

Also something new on the genesis of OT auxiliaries. Organisation Todt must have been recruiting females already since June 1941. There's a written complaint of a Hamburg company reproduced in von Gersdorff (1969; pp.337) about OT trying to hire one of their female employees. In this complaint an OT job advert in the Hamburger Fremdenblatt of June 28th, 1941 is quoted:

Nachrichtenhelferinnen
für der Einsatz im Reichsgebiet u. besetzten Gebieten
für sofort gesucht. Meldung:
Org. Todt, Nachrichtenwesen. Berlin
Avus-Nordschleife.

Hello Heimatschuss,

Was there a Todt Organization female uniform with a Tirol style headwear. I remember seeing a photo of a senior ( and very tall ! ) female wearing it in a group caption. Somehow the pic was related to engineering if a remember well.
