Pictures of female fighters in the Battle of Berlin?
Re: Pictures of female fighters in the Battle of Berlin?
From people whom I have spoken to about the Battle of Berlin that were there, I am made aware
that the main concern of the women that were not able to leave Berlin before the
Russians arrived was to hide out and if they had children or relatives was to
worry about their survival. No mention was ever made about fighting in the
Battle. Survival and safety were the concern.
There are all kinds of first hand female experience during that time.
A Woman in Berlin
Nothing for Tears ---etc.
Franz Seidler has an excellent book on the role of the Helferninnen.
Die Geschichte der Helferinnnen der deutschen Wehrmacht.
Blitz madchen.

Thanks for the link, kstdk. And thanks for the title suggestions, Annelie.
