Hi,

I found the meaning of Jg./Jgn. on the assurance paper. Its for Jugendgenosse / Jugendgenossin (young comrades). See it on the attached paper. Maybe Juendgenosse/Jugendgenossin was used for dokuments of HJ mebers outside the HJ.

As far as I am aware, Jugendgenosse or Jugendgenossin was used for all HJ/BDM members on most of their paperwork. I would assume it was used similarly to Parteigenosse among Nazi party members, meaning "party member". In the case of HJ/BDM it meant "youth member".

The Fuehrerausweis is very nice, by the way, Dirk. Does it have anything on the reverse side?

This one doesn't have any earrings, but she sure has a spiffy necklace/medallion.
This image is from an on line auction service that sells old postcards. She's really good looking, too. And if she's alive today, she's old enough to be my great-grandmother!

That's not actually jewelry but a RAD (Labor Service) brooch. :)

Here are two BDM pics with jewelry.

BDMhistorian: I have this side only as a file. Found somewhere in the net.

Happy Thanksgiving, all!

Here's a pic from an auction currently on ebay (which I have nothing to do with, just interesting is all). Check out these ear-rings. Is that bone?

Best,

Tony

Another nice one with jewelry - and I like her glasses, too! :)

There's another auction on eBay Germany, from seller auction*factory, that shows a girl in BDM sports clothing wearing a small necklace. See below -

Awesome stuff Tony! And what's more, you were not taken out to Block #11 & executed for not posting your "sources" immediately. Excellent!
