I know this is a few years late in terms of reply, but I am not sure that Mehner is correct when it comes to the 183rd Volksgrenadier-Division Commanders.

There seems to be some overlap with 246 Volksgrenadier-Division in Mehner (i.e. Lange, Wilck).

Also, Oberst Gerhard Wilck was captured when Aachen surrendered to the Americans on 21st October 1944, so he cannot have been a Commander of the 183rd Volksgrenadier Division in 1945! Unless of course there were two Oberst Gerhard Wilcks!

Some other sources, i.e the Lexikon, just have Lange and Warrelmann as the Commanders of this Division.
