Peace Story Oct 1943

Thought I had asked this earlier here, but cannot find it in the past three years.

A story attributed to a Bulgarian diplomat concerns a probe or proposal to Germany from the USSR concerning the possibility of a armistice & peace negotiations. This allegedly occured in October 1943. The story claims there was no response back from Germany.

Has any confirming evidence emerged that would lend credence to this story? I've seen it tossed around a couple times in discussions & am getting curious if there is any fact behind it.

Thanks for any assistance here

Had not found that one, but it does contain some useful info. Thanks.

I expect there are other refrences to this. The remark about US & Brit agents in Stockholm turning up rumors may be confirmable.
