That copy of the tables ended up in the folder of the Karelian Front HQ from the first half of 1944, so presumably correction reflect changes made by that moment. I'm not able to say when they were made exactly and how. Also from the same folder ant-tank battalion, 04/569 December 1943 with 12 76-mm guns (optionally substitutes AT battalion 04/554 equipped with 45-mm guns):

Gary, I am away at present, any chance you could publish your updated tables so that everyone can have a look rather than doing it themselves.
DAF,

This is the first crack at 04/551 in summary form. To my surprise the rifles and SMGs at the first rate of issue shown worked out spot on without correction.

It should be easy enough to summarise the Division, but I think we're still short of 04/563?

Art,

Wow, I know Christmas comes later in Russia but it's come earlier here today!

Seriously, if anyone can send a thank you to whoever runs that website I'd be most grateful. I can read shtat it seems, but not Russian in general!

The site is run be the Russian Defense Ministry as a part of project to digitize archival documents. However, I have found specific documents only thanks to a search engine made by some private initiative, I don't know whose exactly.
I'm thinking about posting an English summary from the tank brigade TOEs when I have time.

Leo,

I did get it to work, after selecting Inspect Image I right clicked again and went for Edit as HTML to change the page to the next number, then scrolled to the bottom and just clicked towards the base of the script, and it moved onto the next page.

Yeah. That works. Many thanks.
Why they don't make a regular complete file download option is a mystery. Oh well, we should be grateful for the larger boon of access, even if only page by page and with tricks, and especially the fine friends who help, in some cases virtual ones, like Art, on the internet.

Leo,

Just a quick summary of what I at least reckon the Signal Company had -

1. Headquarters
2. Headquarters Platoon – with two telegraph stations
3. Radio Platoon – with 1 GAZ truck mounted RBS set and 6 RB set detachments (five horse drawn and one with 1.5-ton truck), plus 1 spare set
4. Mobile Communication Platoon – with 7 mounted and 3 motorcycle messengers and an Air Signal Post
5. Three Line Communication Platoons – each 1 officer, 19 men and 1 horse drawn cart
6. Equipment Workshop
7. Battery Charging Detachment – with 1 charger
8. Administration Platoon – with 4 cars, 3x 1.5-ton trucks and 1x 3-ton lorry drawing kitchen trailer

The Red Army Handbook also credits the Line Pls with 33km of wire and 18 telephones (presumably the total for all three Pls combined). I presume the Air Signal Post used visual communications as it looks to be 5 blokes with a horse and cart.
