I am hopeful that one of you can provide insight as to the voyages of the Simferopal, Astrakahn, Tomsk, Yeravan, Pamyat Lenina till 1927 when scuttled, and Mengkuhai to China. I am looking for dates of departure and arrival, places, cargo manifest etc. All questions are a subset as to Soviet aid to the Guomindang and CCP, and any scrap of info may assist me. Wrapped within "normal" trade were arm deliveries, one spurt to south China began with the Vorovsky in Oct 1924, another in spring and into the fall of 1926.

I gather you know a lot more than that on the subject but still you might be interested to look at a couple of lines at http://www.doomt.ru/yugo-vostochaya-azi ... 9-1941-gg/
containing the breakdown of the arms and ammunitions shipments and also mentions of Soviet air force pilots sorties (and of 2 armoured trains).
There also are reminiscences of the military school and Vorovsky's voyage at

Thank you Sarhang: Even the google translation was decent and delightful. You are right that I am narrowing down the search. It's funny how the start up and ending of operations draw the most attention. Understand that the history of Far Eastern Shipping Company would be of value. I tries WorldCat but nothing came up. What, when and with what cargo followed the Vorovsky? Again thank you Sarhang. Your post are always interesting.
